District 9 wins at Conoco Phillips Hartford Lubricants
The production and maintenance workers at Conoco Phillips Hartford Lubricants in Hartford, IL recently voted to join IAM District 9 in Bridgeton, MO. Our new members manufacture oil products and package those lubricants for various retailers.
“There were several issues involved in this win. Our members were faced with excessive health care costs, a variety of workplace fairness issues and work rule issues,” said District 9 Organizer Mike Hahn. “The in-plant committee deserves a great deal of praise. The younger and older workers joined together and are determined to get the wages, benefits and working conditions they deserve.”
Hahn continued saying, “This win would not have been possible without the help of Business Representative Marty St. Peters, Lodge 660 President Tim Young, Lodge 660 Secretary Treasurer Dean Webb and the Lodge 660 Organizing Committee.”
IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President welcomed our new
members saying, “We congratulate our new members on their
success and welcome them into the IAM. This was the third
attempt by this group to organize. We sincerely appreciate the
hard work and dedication of the District 9 staff and Lodge 660
organizing committee.”
